How to Remove Duct Tape From Your Car
- 1. Clean the area around the tape with soapy water to remove any dirt or grime. Wipe dry.
- 2. Use a heat gun or hair dryer to heat entire surface of duct tape until it is hot to the touch.
- 3. Use a plastic scrapper to gently peel off tape fabric. If there’s a lot of resistance when peeling off the tape, reheat.
- 4. Spray any residue in Goo Gone and let sit for five minutes. If using a non-spray product, soak a cloth in Goo Gone and rub onto surface. Then let sit for five minutes.
- 5. Gently wipe any residue with a microfiber cloth in a circular motion until all residue is removed.
- 6. Clean surface with a warm, soapy water and re-wax, as needed.
How to Remove Decals or Stickers From Your Car
- 1. Clean the area around the decal with soapy water to remove any dirt or grime. Wipe dry.
- 2. Use a heat gun or hair dryer to heat the top end or corner of decal.
- 3. Use a plastic scrapper to gently peel one corner of decal.
- 4. Spray under peeled corner with Goo Gone and let sit for 5 minutes. If using a non-spray product, soak a cloth in Goo Gone and rub onto surface. Then let sit for five minutes.
- 5. Gently peel back decal while rubbing exposed area with a Goo Gone soaked microfiber cloth. If it becomes hard to pull, repeat step four.
- 6. Work in small sections until the decal is removed.
- 7. Clean surface with warm, soapy water and re-wax, as needed.
